Freemasons
First and foremost we are a lodge of Freemasons who meet under the jurisdiction of the United Grand Lodge of England.

But what makes us unique and different from other lodges?
Visiting
We are part of the Province of Gloucestershire but have close links with the adjacent Provinces of Bristol and Somerset from whom we receive visits and, in turn, visit these lodges on a frequent basis.
Our lodge members are regular guests at lodges in other parts of the UK and around Europe and travel frequently.
We are always open to new ideas to improve and widen our enjoyment of masonry which our members discover as they travel to new places.
Fun & Fellowship
Aside from visiting the lodge is known for its sense of fun and the fellowship it builds, this includes both our members and their families. Part of the reason for this is our festive board (and raffle) which are known for its joviality.
Since the formation of the lodge we have always had a heavy focus on involving family and friends in our social calendar.
At both our Christmas and May meetings the lodge has always welcomed the families of its members (and guests), this was originally set up to encourage our foreign visitors to bring their wives during visits to our Lodge.
The St Christophers Ladies circle which was formed in the early days of the lodge was also a huge success, whilst not so prevalent today the partners still get together and socialise whilst our Lodge meetings happen forming their own friendships.
Charity
At the core of Freemasonry is a sense of charity and service. Our members give both their time and money to help those in need, both locally and nationally.
We have many members who volunteer with local youth programmes and the money raised from our social events does not spend long in our charity account as it is given to causes close to our members hearts.
We also support our Province by raising money for the national Freemasons Charity which helps builds better lives by supporting communities in ways that make a positive impact to society.
Family Affair
For some of our members they not only to spend time friends, but also with family, our lodge has several relatives who are all part of the St Christopher family including fathers, brothers, son in laws and even grandfathers and grandsons.
